Fen V2 front by fenrirschild Fen V2 front by fenrirschild
I stalled for dramatic effect X3

She has 11 different kinds of black fur on her head, plus the one silver. Three of these are NFT furs, 5+in pile. These blend perfectly with my 42" long hair, making for a mane of truly epic proportions.

Her jawset, nose, lips, and tongue are all made by hand, and her jawset is cast in semi-translucent resin to add realism.

She has 32 individual whiskers, made from the absolute most realistic textured and weighted material I could find. Except the three whiskers that are a natural white for character, they are all colored by hand.

Her torc is also handmade by me. It's an 8 strand weave made with a thick upholstery cord. The terminals are cast in resin and painted. This is an integral part of her design, and is inspired by Norse myth of the rope Gleipnir. "It was made of six things: the noise a cat makes in foot-fall, the beard of a woman, the roots of a rock, the sinews of a bear, the breath of a fish, and the spittle of a bird." It's the line from the Gylfaginning, the first part of the Prose Edda, that describes the dwarven rope the Ęsir use to bind Fenrir.

She has handpainted following eyes, and a hinged jaw. Her nose and lips and tongue are cast in silicone, and are squishy to the touch.

Why does this look slightly like the thing from, The Never Ending Story?

It is really lovely. I think a second shading of silver grey would have worked well too.
May I ask what you used for whiskers? Or did you use your pets whiskers? :D
Our cats loose whiskers now and then and I always collect them and put them in my collection of feathers. I never thought you could use them for anything else then decoration purposes.

I don't use real whiskers, but I'd like to keep my material choice proprietary :3

WOW! You really sound like a huge enthusiast about this kind of thing! I had no idea there were so many kinds of furs (NFT furs? What are those?), but I find this to be incredible! And not just because I am a fan of furries! XD

NFT furs are awesome Hollywood-grade faux furs that are quite expensive, but they have no equal in terms of length and stretch! I really love working with their products, I just wish I got more opportunities to do so.
